Steps in creating a passport

The various steps involved in creating a biometric passport, from applying in the municipal government office (or consulate) to delivery of the passport to the applicant.

Step 1

The applicant makes a pre-request online or completes a CERFA (available at the municipal government office) and makes an appointment at the municipal government office

Step 2

The applicant goes to municipal government office to submit his file.

Step 3

The digital file is received by the processing department, which examines and validates it.

Step 4

The document is printed

Step 5

The document is sent to the municipal office

Step 6

The passport is received at the office and a text is sent to the applicant informing him that he can collect his document (with or without an appointment, depending on the office)

Step 7

The applicant can collect his document at the municipal office within a maximum of 3 months.
